There’s a lot of talk in the spiritual entrepreneurial world about ease and flow.

And rightfully so!  It is time that there be more conversation around life working from a place of intuition, inspiration, and Soul-guidance.

The only way (imho) to really be successful in every sense of the word is to stop pushing so hard and allow a supernatural power to take over for you.

When you surrender control and allow the Universe to direct your moves, words, and thoughts, you become charged with an energy that makes you super productive and efficient as hell.

When I’m speaking or writing from ease and flow, every single word comes out so easily.  It’s as if (and actually, more literally than “as if”) I’m being taken over and used as a channel for a message that wants to be shared through me.

And when I’m not in that state of ease and flow, it takes me way more time to eek something out, and it is never, ever as “good”.

But the truth about ease and flow is that it isn’t always easy.

You’d be wrong if you thought that people who work from this state always have things turn out the way they expected to.  They fail, fear, and feel “off” sometimes too.

They are faced with really scary decisions that are uncomfortable…They are challenged to grow and expand by taking actions that scare the ever-loving shit out of them too.

It’s just that at a certain point, they learn how to choose faith over fear.

They just choose to say yes to their yes because it feels good and everything always turns out right (even when, in the moment, it might appear to be working exactly the opposite!)

Do you see the difference?

Flow and ease doesn’t mean living a cake-walk life.

It simply means that the challenges are a welcome opportunity to surrender to God.

It means being available as a channel for miracles to be worked through knowing that you’ll be on purpose and thus supported by the Universe.

It does NOT mean never being uncomfortable.

And it does NOT mean you don’t have to show up and do the work.

But it DOES mean that the work feels more rewarding.

Like, even now as I’m typing these words, I feel in such a state of flow that my body tingles and I’m filled with energy.  So much energy that I can’t type fast enough because I feel like I’m going to climb out of my skin.  (Expansion often feels like this btw, different convo for a different day, but if you’ve ever experienced it, you know what I mean!)

Something greater than me is taking over and speaking through me.  At almost 11pm when I actually intended to do a little bit of business training for myself, this message needed to be spoken so here I am.

See?  I’m doing “work”…I’m showing up!  It’s not like there’s nothing to do.  It’s just that the work assignment comes from God and calls for you.  Versus the alternative which is taking action from a space of needing to get a particular outcome and forcing it out of you.

I’ve done both.  I wish I could say that I’m constantly in a state of flow.

But my ego loves to think that control is a better option.

“What if you just completely stop caring about things and turn into a lazy bum?!”

“You NEED to get this done, or else you won’t (fill in the blank–have enough money, get more clients, be visible online….)

Working from force is ego-driven and is filled with lack-energy.

You’re cutting off your real source of power because of yourself, there really is nothing you can do.

Your fearful, small self isn’t capable of being inspired.

Inspiration comes from Spirit (the antithesis of fear).

So, what do you want?  How do you want to feel?  What idea, message, or action really turns you on and excites you?

How can you bring more of that into the world?  Or more accurately, how can you LET more of that out of you as a channel for the Divine?

What are you saying “yes!” to?

That.

Yes, that.

That is your ease.  That is your flow.

Can you feel it?

That is what you want to act on.  Even and especially when it feels scary.  Even if you don’t exactly know how.  Even if you’re afraid of how it’s going to turn out.  Even if you’re afraid you might fail.  Even if you’re afraid of being judged.

Those things don’t go away when ease and flow are present.

It’s just that ease and flow give you a whole lot more motivation to actually be stronger than your fear.

I love you!
